Bishop Grosseteste University

Bishop Grosseteste University is one of two public universities in Lincoln, England. BGU was established as a teacher training college for the Diocese of Lincoln in 1862 and was granted full university status in 2012.

The university features a single-site campus in uphill Lincoln. It is a short walk away from the historic Bailgate area, the Cathedral and Castle. 

The university offers foundation and honours degrees at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level. Students may earn a BA, BSc and even a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). There are also joint honour options and many subjects can be studied through a series of major/minor combinations.

BGU has featured an explosion of growth in the recent years but remains a small and friendly university that continues to expand and develop its portfolio of courses into more exciting new areas. BGU commits itself to a first-class education and also concerns itself with supporting its students in their future careers.
